Every year, June 21 rolls around and we celebrate National Wagyu Day — but for us, it’s not just a once-a-year thing. At The Meat Dudes, Wagyu beef isn’t a trend. It’s not hype. It’s not just “expensive steak.” It’s the future of beef — and we’re here for it.

We love Wagyu because it forces you to care. You can’t raise it fast, you can’t cut corners, and you can’t fake the quality. The marbling, the texture, the depth of flavor — it’s a product that rewards attention to detail at every step. Whether it’s F1 American crosses or full-blood cattle, real Wagyu tells a story, and that story is finally starting to get told the right way.

What we’re most excited about is how transparent the Wagyu world is becoming. Consumers are getting smarter. More people are asking: Is this full-blood or F1? Where was this raised? How was it fed? We’re seeing ranches proudly put their genetics, feed programs, and grading front and center. The American Wagyu Association is putting in work. Labels are becoming clearer. And the fog of Wagyu misinformation is starting to lift.

We truly believe that Wagyu is about to become one of the most respected beef categories in the country. It might take a few more years, but the shift is already happening. What used to be dismissed as “just fatty beef” is now being studied, compared, and sought after by chefs, butchers, and everyday grillers who care about quality.

So yeah — hold on. The Wagyu wave is coming, and it’s not slowing down. We’re riding it all the way. And if you’re still calling it a trend? We’ll save you a slice when you finally catch up. Some celebrate National Wagyu Day every June 21st with a wagyu steak of your choice. Remember, it doesn’t always have to be expensive!
